Bloom characteristics: Pendulous, frequently zigzag inflorescence is up to 12" (30 cm) long with 8-15 waxy, pale pink and white flowers. Flowers are 2" (5 cm) across and long-lived.
Fragrance: Lemon
Plant size: 8-12" x 5-10" (20-30 x 13-25 cm), excluding inflorescence
Pollination syndrome: Possibly bee
Description: This small orchid is the type species for its genus, which is named for Cuitlahuatzin, the governor of Iztapalapa, Mexico at the time of its discovery.
