Distribution: C and S Mexico to Honduras

Habitat: dry oak and pine forests; 3940-5905ft (1200-1800m)

Life form: Terrestrial

Bloom Time (northern hemisphere): March to July; peaks in May

Bloom characteristics: Erect inflorescence is 3.3 feet (100 cm) long with 35 brown flowers with a pink lip. Flowers are 2" (5 cm) across.
