Bloom characteristics: Inflorescence is 18" (45 cm) long with 13-16 long-lasting, red-dappled flowers (can have as many as 25). Flowers are 2.6" (6 cm) across.
Pollination syndrome: Bird (likely)
Description: This large orchid is rare in the wild, known to grow in only two locations of open forest on serpentinite rock.
