Distribution: SE Tibet to China (S Yunnan, SW Guizhou) and N Indo-China
Habitat: Evergreen mixed forests, often near water; 3940-6235ft (1200-1900m)
Life form: Epiphytic
Bloom Time (northern hemisphere): October to February; peaks in November
Bloom characteristics: Arching inflorescence is 39-51" (99-130 cm) long with 7-20 yellow and brown flowers. Flowers are 4-6" (10.2-15.25 cm) across.
Fragrance: Sweet (strong)
Pollination syndrome: Bee
Description: This large orchid is strongly fragrant and named for AH Tracy, a British orchidist of the 1800s.
